Welcome!

This is the arts blog of Edward M. Corpus, 2D and 3D traditional and digital artist, based in Monterey County, California, USA. Moderated, thoughtful commenting is now active and welcome.

As of June 6, 2015, my new portfolio website is under construction, from which you can purchase artwork directly. The link will be available soon.

Please be advised that although works shown here are only a sampling, my 2D and 3D artwork may be of a graphic or sexual nature that some may find offensive, inappropriate for minors and NSFW. (Please refer to my Artist Statement.)

My goal is to create artistic works that are provocative, conceptually rich, visually compelling, socially aware, ethically defensible and hopefully, possess touches of humanity and humor.

Artwork is available for sale, except as noted. Feel free to contact me if interested. All images in the galleries of E. M. Corpus are protected by copyright, and not in the public domain. They may not be reproduced or otherwise used without written permission and express consent of the artist

About the Artist

My photo
Edward M. Corpus
CENTRAL COAST, CALIFORNIA, United States
Hello. I became aware of my artistic passions around the age of three. I'm a graduate of the School of Information Technology and Communication Design, the computer design degree program at California State University Monterey Bay. Even with updated skills in 2D / 3D digital techniques, I still fall back on traditional graphite, charcoal, watercolors, acrylics and various mixes of these. While my emphasis at the university was animation, I also create graphical assets for print and web publishing. Whether concept art, storyboarding and illustration, 3D models, compositing or good ol' portraiture, I'm eager to learn new concepts, technologies and best practices from creative artists and design professionals. This web log exists to showcase my developing abilities and to document the joys, trials and travails of a working artist in a challenging world of new, disruptive technologies, uncertain economies and volatile social climates. I admit to being guilty of neglecting this online digital portfolio to the exigencies of life, but I'm working to remedy that. So, please visit often to see what's new. I welcome your collaboration and sharing of experience along that path.
